The Greater Villa at Il Belpoggio Su Todi

A perfect fit

A perfect fit for holidays and family reunions

'Il Belpoggio Su Todi' is a small village of 3 buildings — plus a barn used as covered parking — surrounded by a terraced garden, an olive grove, a forest and above all by an enchanting view.

The farmhouses have been completely renovated. We have safeguarded the typical architecture of Umbria and favoured the use of local materials, such as terracotta for the floors, exposed stone for the external walls, and ancient tiles on the roofs.

All the comforts of a country house

Every detail allows you to experience the hospitality of a country house with all the comforts, including a scenic infinity pool in which to cool off during the summer.

Many points of cultural and historical interest such as Perugia, Assisi, Todi, Orvieto, Spoleto, Viterbo and national parks are all within an hour's drive of the villa, along scenic roads and routes.

Why we decided to rent

“Our family property is located in an enchanting place, far enough from the city to be able to deeply breathe and close enough to take advantage of its comforts. My parents put all their love into the restoration of these beautiful homes. Il Belpoggio Su Todi is similar to a safe haven, where you can relax and regenerate.

We like the idea of sharing this corner of paradise with people with kind souls and big hearts, who seek contact with the beauty of nature and the cities of art to fill up on positive energy.”

— The D'Onghia family

The restored West Wing farmhouse

In the beginning, it was only an idea

Almost ten years of meticulous work

It took almost 10 years of meticulous work to give a new life to this old farm, uninhabited for many years. The state of abandonment in which it found itself required careful and profound interventions.

We safeguarded the typical architecture of Umbria and favoured local materials — terracotta floors, exposed stone walls, ancient roof tiles. The infinity pool was the last important piece to make Il Belpoggio Su Todi what it is today.

Meet your host

A few words from Federico

My name is Federico. I was born in France to Italian parents, studied Political Science and hold a Master's in Energy Management — a background that lets me welcome guests in three (almost fluent!) languages. Before Il Belpoggio I worked in international trade and the energy sector, and I've kept a passion for music, communication and geopolitics along the way.

Since 2012 I've been the proud host of Il Belpoggio Su Todi, our family property dedicated to vacation rentals, overlooking the hill-town of Todi in the Umbrian countryside. I wouldn't call myself a “standout figure in the industry”, but it is true that I care deeply for our guests.

I hope what we have to offer convinces you to come and stay, and that we meet soon. And if we can't meet your needs this time, it will still have been a pleasure — perhaps we can help on another occasion.
